Sewer manholes are used in the following cases:
- at the points of pipeline connections
- in places of changes in the direction, slopes and diameters of pipelines
- to reduce the depth of laying pipelines
- to avoid exceeding the maximum permissible speed of wastewater movement or abruptly changing this speed
- when intersecting with underground structures with flooded outlets in the last well before the reservoir
